Ayush Chakraborty is a Junior Research Fellow in the Department of Translation Studies at the Centre for Applied Linguistics and Translation Studies (CALTS), University of Hyderabad, where he is currently engaged in his doctoral work. Having completed his Master's in English Literature at The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, he taught Communicative English at Vardhaman College of Engineering. He is currently working in the domain of Accessibility in Audiovisual Translation, engaging with questions of mediation, representation, and inclusivity in audiovisual cultures, with particular attention to how translation and accessibility practices reconfigure encounters across languages, media, and cultural boundaries. His interests extend to film adaptations, the politics of filmmaking and distribution practices shaped by power, ideology, and negotiations between global cultural flows and local media politics.
