Candle Vanrempuii is a PhD research scholar of Comparative Literature and India Studies at The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad. Her area of interest lies in oratures and intermediality. She is currently working on pre colonial Mizo oratures - folksongs within the framework of plurality and undertaking on-field documentation for the purpose of collection, preservation, cataloguing and digitising Mizo oratures for the public. Her work also intersects with policy, syllabi and ethics.
