Debarati Chakraborty

Debarati Chakraborty is a committed scholar of Comparative Literature,having completed her B.A., M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. from the Department of Comparative Literature, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. With a deep grounding in the discipline, she has taught Comparative Literature at West Bengal State University and contributed to the Centre for Studies in African Literatures and Cultures, Jadavpur University. Currently, she is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of English at Techno India University, West Bengal. Her research interests span Comparative Literature, oral history, and memory studies and her research work explores narratives of displacement and memory post- Partition. She brings an interdisciplinary and globally engaged perspective to her work.
