Dr. Gourab Chatterjee, Assistant Professor of English at the School of Language, KIIT (Deemed-to-be-University), brings a dynamic and interdisciplinary vision to Comparatists in Conversation rooted in over a decade of teaching and research. Trained in Comparative Literature at Jadavpur University (BA, MA, MPhil, PhD), Dr. Chatterjee is a committed scholar of African Literatures, Cross-Cultural Studies, and Oratures, and was a founding member of the Centre for Studies in African Literatures and Cultures at JU. His academic journey includes fellowships from the Government of West Bengal and the Sir Ratan Tata Trust, and research roles with the International School of Dravidian Linguistics.

As one of the founding members of CiC, he hopes to contribute to building meaningful collaborations and dialogues that connect disciplines, languages, perspectives, and knowledge systems, bridging emerging researchers and established scholars toward a sustainable research environment.
